Texas Tech Faces Tough Game Without Tahj Brooks Tonight

Red Raiders will be without their leading scorer in key Big 12 matchup

No. 14 Texas Tech will be without leading scorer Tahj Brooks when they take on No. 12 Baylor tonight in a key Big 12 matchup. Brooks, who averages 16.5 points per game, is out with a sprained ankle.

The Red Raiders will also be without guard Clarence Nadolny, who is out with a concussion. Nadolny is the team's second-leading scorer, averaging 11.5 points per game.

Texas Tech coach Mark Adams said he is confident his team can win without Brooks and Nadolny.

"We have a lot of guys who can step up and make plays," Adams said. "We're going to need everyone to contribute if we want to win this game."

The Red Raiders will have their hands full against a talented Baylor team. The Bears are led by guard LJ Cryer, who averages 17.5 points per game. Baylor is also ranked No. 1 in the country in defensive efficiency.

The game is scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN.
