Vancouver Canucks Lose 3-1 to Nashville Predators
Canucks Fall Behind 1-3 in First Round Series
Vancouver, B.C. -
The Vancouver Canucks lost 3-1 to the Nashville Predators on Saturday night in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series. The Predators now lead the series 3-1 and can clinch a berth in the second round with a win in Game 5 on Tuesday night in Nashville.
The Canucks got off to a good start, taking an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Elias Pettersson. However, the Predators tied the game late in the first period on a goal by Filip Forsberg. The Predators then took the lead for good in the second period on a goal by Matt Duchene.
The Canucks had a number of chances to tie the game in the third period, but they were unable to convert. The Predators held on for the 3-1 win and now have a chance to close out the series in Game 5.
The Canucks will need to find a way to generate more offense in Game 5 if they want to stay alive in the series. The Predators have been very stingy defensively, allowing just four goals in the first four games of the series.
The Canucks will also need to find a way to improve their power play. They have just one power-play goal in the series and have been unable to capitalize on their opportunities.
If the Canucks can't find a way to turn things around, they will be facing elimination in Game 5.
