ISTANBUL, Turkey (AP) — After a relatively bad start to the 2022-23 season, Turkish soccer club Besiktas has made a strong turnaround, winning multiple matches and impressing fans.

The club, which is based in Istanbul, started the season with a 1-2 record. However, they have since won three consecutive matches, including a 2-1 victory over Fenerbahce in the Istanbul derby.

The turnaround has been attributed to a number of factors, including the addition of new players and a change in tactics.

Besiktas is now in fifth place in the Turkish Super Lig, just two points behind league leaders Galatasaray.
